Today on the podcast i'm talking all about 2025 trends. Most of my research comes from Vogue, but I also used a couple of other sites that I will link below. Join me as I cover whats big, or predicted to be big this year in fashion.

You can follow along with the trends on the vogue blog here

The Trends

  1. The Boho Bounceback

Boho is back and going strong for another year. I don't think we ever saw the back of this trend, but this year the emphesis is on suede. Think suede accessories, suede tote bags, suede matching sets, if you can make it out of suede then you are hitting the mark. Pair it with long flowey dresses and ditsy florals and you've nailed it.

  1. Earth Girl - The New Neutrals

Neutrals are having another moment, but this time they've brought along some colourful friends. We're still seeing a lot of beiges, tans and earthy tones, but this year instead of the burgandys we got accostomed to in 2024, expect to see more greens, pinks and yellows thrown into the mix. Dusky pinks, butter yellows and sage greens are leading the forefront in this trend. Sage green in particular is popping up in everything from trench coats to sportswear.

Whilst I am more drawn to bright colours, i am quite excited for these more earthy colours and I can see myself making a green gabardine trench coat before the year is out.

  1. From Doll Core to Indie Sleaze

Indie Sleaze is having a revival, it feels like a massive throwback to when Kesha ruled the music and fashion industry, such magical and simpler times. This trend is all about shape and pairing feminine and grunge. Think bubble skirts, lots of ruffles and puffer jackets. You really want to channel your inner girly goth, sounds a little contradicatry I know, but I think thats the point. Think Kesha, Charlie XCX and old school Avril Lavigne

  1. Animal Print

Lets be honest, this one has been a long time coming, animal print has been flooding our memade feeds for ages so it's about time the trends caught up. no longer is leopard print reserved for the Pat Butchers and Karens (sorry if your name is also Karen, my mum is a Karen and shes wonderul). Animal print is dominating the high street, yes Leopard is the big one, but don't be suprised if you start to see a lot of zebra print, cow print and snake skin too, even dog sweater searches are on the rise. whilst I am not including patterns in this catagory i would be remiss if i didn't include Fabric Godmother in this catagory because they are leading the way in their animal print denims. You can find their cow print and leopard print denims here and they are such beautiful quality you wont be disappointed.

  1. Sports Style 2.0

A few years ago we saw the rise of athleasure and before that was the rein of loungewear, but these are now being replaced by the baggier sports tops, think rugby shirts and hockey jerseys worn with tube socks and loafers, I must admit I am quite liking this trend, we saw a similar boost in this kind of sportswear back in the 90s when the Mighty Ducks film came out and everyone was racing to the shops to buy Ice Hockey tops. This trend is all about styling baggy 'boyfriend' style shirts with feminine silhouettes on the bottom, tulle maxi skirts and tennis skits make the perfect pairing for a casual yet flirtatious aesthetic.

    6. Coquette

Last year was all about hyper feminism, it was all about barbie, lace, pastels, bows and ballet. This year coqueyye core is having another big moment, think you've got enough bows and bells? Think again becaise in this trend more is more, more pink, more flouncy, more puffy. Look for romantic fabrics and textures. Got a tshirt with a croissant? Put a bow on it, aww what a cute dog jumper... put a bow on it! You get the idea.

    Patterns:
